No link? Send a photo

Every request starts with the exact product: a link to it, or a photo of it. A sentence on its own — *cheap cosmetics*, *a good watch*, *something for my mother* — is not something anyone can price, so the request page asks for one or the other.

If you have no link, a photo does the same job, and it is often better: the right photo carries the model number, the size and the colour in one go.

What to photograph

A screenshot of the product page. If you found it in an app, on Instagram or on a website you cannot copy the address from, screenshot the page. Make sure the name, the price and the size or colour you chose are in the picture.

The product itself, or one you already own. Finishing a bottle, replacing a worn pair of shoes, buying the same again — photograph the one you have.

The box or the label. This is usually the best photo of all, because it carries the code that identifies the exact item:

A watch has a reference number

A car part has a part number — photograph the old part, and the VIN if you can

LEGO and collectibles have a set number

Electronics have a model number

Cosmetics and supplements have the product name and size on the label

Sunglasses have a frame and lens code inside the arm

You can send up to 30 photos with one request, so send the front, the back and the label rather than choosing.

Add what the photo cannot say

Under the photos there is a box for anything else. Use it for:

The size, in the system you know it in, and the brand you know that size from (clothes, shoes)

The colour or variant, if the photo shows a different one

"This exact one" or "something like it" — they lead to completely different searches

A date, if there is one. If it is close, we will tell you honestly to buy it in Egypt rather than have you counting days (timing)

A gift, and whether it is a surprise. We will keep it one.

When we cannot price it

A photo with no brand or code. Sometimes we can identify it; often we cannot, and the honest answer is that we could not.

A screenshot of a price with no source. Prices differ enormously between sellers, and one we cannot verify is one we cannot honour.

Something restricted. We will tell you plainly rather than take the order and let the problem surface later.

What happens next

A person reads every request — the same people who price everything else. They come back, usually within hours, with one fixed final price in Egyptian pounds or a question, if something genuinely needs settling first.
