Vitamins and supplements from America
The worst multiple of anything we price, and still sometimes the right decision. Here is how to tell which case you are in.

We should say the unhelpful thing first: supplements are the worst category we handle.
From our calculator on 7 September 2026:
| US price | Lands at | Multiple | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tub of protein, 900 g | $50 | EGP 11,936 | 4.7× |
| Small vitamin bottle | $22 | EGP 6,022 | 5.4× |
That is not a mistake and nobody is overcharging. It is what the arithmetic does to this shape of product, and if you understand why, you will know exactly when to ignore this page and order anyway.
Why they price so badly
They are large and light. A protein tub is mostly air in a plastic pot. The cost of bringing something in is driven by the room it takes up as much as by what it weighs, so a big light object is charged as though it were heavy — the full explanation.
They are cheap. The fixed costs of any order are much the same whether the thing inside is worth $22 or $2,200. On a $22 bottle those costs are the whole story, which is why the multiple gets *worse* as the item gets cheaper. The small bottle prices worse than the big tub.
Everyday supplements are widely available in Egypt. For the common ones, the honest comparison is against a pharmacy down the road, and the pharmacy wins.
When it is still the right call
All of that said, people order these from us every week and are right to. The cases:
It does not exist here. A specific formulation, a particular brand, a dosage not sold in Egypt. There is no comparison to make — the landed price is what the thing costs, and 5× of a small number is often still a small number. That $22 bottle lands at about EGP 6,000; if it is the one that works for you and nothing here matches it, that may simply be worth paying.
It is expensive per gram. Concentrated things — a small bottle of a costly active, not a bulk tub — carry enough value to absorb the fixed costs. The rule across every category is the same: value concentrated into a small space travels well.
You are ordering several at once. This is the one category where ordering together genuinely helps a lot, because the fixed costs dominate. Two small items together are meaningfully cheaper than two separate orders — around 18% on the cheapest things we price. If you take three supplements, order three.
You are already ordering something else. Adding a bottle to an order you are placing anyway is far better value than a bottle on its own.
What not to do
Do not import bulk protein or mass-market multivitamins. Buy them in Egypt. You will pay more to bring them than the powder cost.
Do not order one small bottle by itself. Wait until you want three, or add it to another order.
Do not assume everything is permitted. Supplements sit near the line between food and medicine, and what may be brought into Egypt is not always intuitive — anything with a medicinal claim is treated differently. Ask before you decide you want it. We will tell you plainly, including when the answer is no.
A word on what we will not do
We will not describe a medicine as a supplement, or a supplement as something else, to make an order easier. Getting the category right is part of how a fixed price stays fixed — and misdescribing something is not a service, it is a risk we would be handing to you.
How it works here
Send the link, or just tell us the brand and the exact product, and we come back with one fixed price in Egyptian pounds — everything inside, usually within hours. If our answer is that you should buy it in Egypt, we will say that too.
For the wider picture, what it really costs to buy from America to Egypt sets this category against the ones that work better, and what not to buy from abroad is the short version.
